What do you think? Naming my baby something similar to my sisters who has passed away?

In 2008 my little sister passed away from cancer when she was 13, I was 17 and she was like my best friend. Her name was Brianna and I want to name my baby something in like remembrance for her. My mom also likes the idea so I know it will not be hard on anyone. So I'm thinking of the name Brielle if it's a girl and maybe calling her bri for short. What do you guys think about the idea? Do you think it's a weird thing to do. I just want to do this for her and I know she would love it!
